On DE-Stress 302, host Alena Duggan and The CAUSE Production Crew produced a Delaware-centric podcast all about mental health. Today's guest, Dr. Ronald W. Whitaker, II serves as the Senior Pastor of the Historic Mother African Union Church, which is this nation's oldest African American church. As a critical scholar-practitioner, Dr. Whitaker holds multiple academic roles, including Associate Professor and Director of the M.Ed. in Educational Leadership Program at Arcadia University. At Arcadia, he also serves as Co-Director of the Social Action and Justice Education (SAJE) program. Further, Dr. Whitaker is an inaugural faculty fellow for Vanderbilt University's Initiative for Race, Research, and Justice. Known for his extensive research, Dr. Whitaker frequently presents at national and international conferences, exploring topics such as race, racism, white supremacy, social justice, organizational psychology, the plight of Black males, and the Prophetic Black Church tradition. Over the past eight years, he has authored and presented more than 40 scholarly works on these critical issues.
